To The Edge – Cameron Abbott

All the recs on my blog are available in e-book or at least digitally. This title is not. But I have to tell you about this one. I’ve read this novel by Cameron Abbott at least 4 times. I love the delicious slow burn in To The Edge. It’s a friends to lovers but man, the buildup is terrific!

Anne and Gallagher are friends since high school. They are very close, so close even that there was almost something romantic between them. They come very close to giving in to the attraction between them. But it never happens. Gallagher is determined to not be in a relationship with a woman.

Anne nevertheless is not holding back and starts a hot affair with Rae Sheldon. It’s a toxic affair but that makes it even hotter for Anne it seems. The relationship with Rae ultimately ends and years later Anne and Gallagher pick up where they left off. Only now is Anne living her life as a lesbian while Gallagher is still with men. Or are things different now?

I tell you. When this slow burn ignites it is worth the wait 🔥🔥! But man, how stubborn some people can be 🙄. It is also a coming of age and a coming out story. The coming out part of it is very hot. Cameron Abbott is a lawyer and it shows. Anne becomes a lawyer and the side story about a case at her work is compelling.
