The story takes place in the Montana Territory, when homesteading, sod houses, and sheep ranching were central to Western expansion, just prior to Montana achieving U.S. statehood in 1889.

The Ghosts of Greenville – Gerri Hill
Gerri Hill’s 49th is again a good one. With ghosts this time. There were ghosts in Gillette Park and Weeping Walls, but not as prominent as in The Ghosts in Greenville. Well, the title says it all 😏.

Georgia Peaches and Other Forbidden Fruit – Jaye Robin Brown
A couple of years ago Georgia Peaches and Other Forbidden Fruit would not be a book I would pick up. But the writing by Jaye Robin Brown was so good, and the story of Jo so captivating. It turned out to be one of my favs.

Windlass – Anna Burke
It’s been years since I read Spindrift and later Night Tide. This time it is the romance between Stevie and Angie that get center stage. Who knew that behind Stevie jokeries hid such passion.

Our Wives Under The Sea – Julia Armfield
So this book is an odd one out for me. It’s a creepy story that is not very romantic in that sense. But it is about love and that makes Our Wives Under The Sea one of my lesficfavs.

Landing – Emma Donoghue
Landing is a treasure. It was such a joy to read. Yes, because it hit close to home. But it wasn’t just that. I loved everything about this book.
