Journey’s End is hands down the best Xena Conqueror story I’ve read. L.J. Maas was on fire with this one. Most of this story is written from Xena’s POV, it was as if she had become Xena. At least, that was what it felt like to me 😏. After winning a battle, the Governor of…
I am flabbergasted. This book by Eliza Lentzski is fantastic! Not that I am really surprised by her fabulous writing, but I am surprised she wrote such an amazing story set in an post-apocalyptic world. In truth, I am not really looking for stories like this in lesfic. I guess the main reason for that…
I read this a while back. This Foreign Affair is book 4 in the Pink Bean Series, which I highly recommend. There are some groundbreaking stories being told in this series. Anyway, so I wanted to write about this book for some time now but hadn’t gotten around to it. Until now because this one…
I experienced No Rings Attached as a hidden gem. To me that is, for it’s a very popular book. But when I read the blurb I thought, ok well this seems like a nice romance. I like the fake relationship trope, heard good things about it, and about Rachel Lacey, so why not. And it…
Read it on Archive of Our Own Oh yes! A Christmas AU Supercorp fic of sorts (read the tags). I love You & Me & Holiday Wine, because it’s the season you know 🧑🎄⛄. And it is a delightful story! In this AU, Lena travels to Sam’s cabin in Colorado to pick up some work….
I must admit I never finished watching Supergirl SE06. It’s not that I didn’t want to. I just couldn’t. [starts venting] It was too awful. No idea what the folks that run the show were going after with the mess they made with that last season. It was a crying shame what they produced and…
Finally, here’s my first XWP fanfic fav I’m writing about. I have quite a few that I would like to share. Unfortunately, not everything can be found online. And now, I had burned everything to a cd disc years ago (yes, it’s been that long), but I can’t find that disc anymore?! Fortunately, there are quite a few available…
What an absolute delight to begin this year with this post about Queerleaders by M.B. Guel. Young Adult is not usually my go to genre, but the premise of this one spoke to me. Turns out that my intuition was correct. What a swoon worthy story! A perfect and positive way to start the new…
It’s been years since I read Spindrift and later Night Tide. This time it is the romance between Stevie and Angie that get center stage. Who knew that behind Stevie jokeries hid such passion.
Best fic to read around Valentine’s Day ❤️. Jazzfordshire never fails, but this one just makes me fall for Kara and Lena all over again. Especially for Kara in this one. God, she is so adorable 🥰. In Lena Luthor vs. The Outdoors Kara suggests to Lena to go on a camping trip 😯. That…
I like Christmas. Especially Christmas romance, preferably lesfic style. And who better to write the best ones than Gerri Hill. God, I love her writing. In Chasing a Brighter Blue, Shelby Sutton meets photojournalist Reagan Bryant. They meet during a two-week celebration in Colorado with family and friends. They have never met but they are…
In the first week of a new year, everything is the first something of the year. So hereby I give you my first Supercorp fic rec in 2023 😍. And it’s such a good one to start with. This fic by seabiscuit holds exactly the mood I was after this time of year. Lena Luthor…
I love novels that have a no strings or fling trope in them. I don’t know. It’s the clandestine feeling. It’s giving in to the attraction without ending up in a relationship right away. That sort of thing. Not that I was ever like that myself. I’m still from the u-haul generation 😂. Or does that still exist? In any case, Gerri…
“Shifting Gears” is a highly anticipated novel by Jazz Forrester, known for her exceptional Supercorp f/f. I encourage you to indulge in this romantic tale.
I had seen Stephanie Shea’s books before. But an interview with her in The Sapphic Book Review made me very curious about her books. This was the first book I’ve read by her and, okay, I’m a fan. She writes beautifully 👏🏼. Laure Green’s podcast is very much recommended by the way. Laura interviews lesfic authors in her unique way. She asks…
Apparently, I’m in a nostalgic mood. Because I was recently thinking about this novel by Jennifer Fulton, originally published in 1993. I read it in the late 90’s and then read it a few more times. I thought it was such an impressive novel, not least because of the complex main characters. It is a book that is…
I often have trouble getting to know new authors. Then I prefer to stick to what I already know because I think that’s good. I view new authors through colored glasses. Then, I often lose interest because they do not captivate me. I know, it’s a problem and I’m working on it. But I didn’t have that problem…
Lise Gold and her alter ego Madeleine Taylor wrote a hot romance with The Next Life. That’s how I remember it anyway. It was a particular scene that stuck with me 😏. But also Reina’s story which was strong and emotional to me. In The Next Life Reina is just divorced. Her husband traded her…
I started this blog exactly a year ago today. It was something I had been thinking about for a while. It started out as a review site for lesbian fiction. But it didn’t feel right. There are already numerous review blogs, sites, etc. There are numerous blogs, sites, etc, writing about lesbian fiction, period. What…
I waited a long time before I dared to watch Concussion. I feared this was a movie that could trigger some unwanted emotions. And it did, but not necessarily in a bad way. This movie raises some questions that few dare to ask. Like, what happens when you’re not satisfied sexually in your marriage? What…
