I read a lot about this book. Readers saying how toxic it was. That was no lie. But as you may know by now, I like a bit of controversy. I decided to take the chance and I was very happy I did!
Tryst Six Venom tells the story of Liv (Olivia) Jaeger and Clay Collins. They both attend Marymount high school. And they hate each other, with a vengeance. Olivia is poor, Clay is rich. They literally live on opposite side of the tracks. So that shouldn’t be a good enough reason to hate each other so much, now would it? It isn’t. It will become clear what’s all behind it.
Don’t think this is an easy read. I was at 30% and I wondered if I dared to go on reading. I did though because Penelope Douglas wrote a perfectly layered romance novel in my opinion. Sure, you know what’s what between these two girls. But the depth of these two characters and the reasons behind their behavior gets peeled away in a delicate, or maybe not so delicate, way. The love that remains once it is all laid bare is beautiful ❤️.
