Pages for You – Sylvia Brownrigg
Another marvelous novel! I am in awe. How come I didn’t know about Sylvia Brownrigg and her beautiful novel Pages for You? It doesn’t matter, I found it, read it, loved it.
In Pages for You Flannery Jansen, a college student, tells her story of falling in love with the ten years older Anne Arden. Flannery is 17 when she meets Anne. I say meet but when Flannery first lays eyes on Anne she is so struck by her attraction to this woman, she avoides any interaction with her. She succeeds only so long because it seems that Anne was struck too that first time their eyes met.
Flannery and Anne start a relationship. Flannery invites the reader into their pink bubble. They have found love and lust in each other and shut out the world. You get to witness their bliss, as told by Flannery. And it is bliss. They are so lovely together. But you can only shut out the world for so long, it seems. Their bubble starts to burst.
At some point I so badly wanted to know what was gonna happen with them and suddenly the book became a pageturner. Though it was hard! So, is this an HEA? Not yet, it’s not. But I already bought the sequel, Pages for Her. I have confidence in Sylvia Brownrigg because these two belong together 🥰.
