After reading Love Like on a Silver Screen, I remembered a fic of powergrapes I read before. I also liked that fic so much. Sometimes I just forget what I’ve read 😵💫. That’s also really bizarre. I now use my own blog to remember what I have read. That makes me very happy 😂. And that includes this…
So this book is an odd one out for me. It’s a creepy story that is not very romantic in that sense. But it is about love and that makes Our Wives Under The Sea one of my lesficfavs.
Sometimes I indulge in the guilty pleasure of reading a smutty fic. Actually, I do that a lot 🤫. One of my go-to authors for a really good and well written smut fic is Aspidities. With Property of the House of Zor-El she’s outdone herself. This one is 🥵🔥🔥🔥. In Property of the House of…
I had seen Stephanie Shea’s books before. But an interview with her in The Sapphic Book Review made me very curious about her books. This was the first book I’ve read by her and, okay, I’m a fan. She writes beautifully 👏🏼. Laure Green’s podcast is very much recommended by the way. Laura interviews lesfic authors in her unique way. She asks…
Another thing that is part of the beginning of the year is New Year’s resolutions. Top ‘favorite’ one is getting fit, hitting the gym, dreams of that elusive toned body, well you get it. This short Supercorp fic is an appropriate one to motivate you 😏. Ever since Lena started dating James, Kara hasn’t been…
The Great Charade is a true Christmas novel 🧑🏼🎄. Abby Carpenter needs a fake girlfriend to take to her family over Christmas. The reason why is very funny actually. I had never really laughed while reading a Gerri Hill book, but I did with this one. Abby is going to spend Christmas at her parents. Just like every year….
My god, this movie ❤️! When Night is Falling is a 1995 movie by Patricia Rozema. It is the most beautiful lesbian movie I’ve seen to date. It’s gorgeous in every way. If you haven’t seen it already, go find it. Everyone has their own preference of course, but this is a must see in my lesbian book 😏.
I wasn’t very familiar with the TV show Once Upon A Time (OUAT) which ran from 2011 to 2018. After I started watching the show, I dropped it after a few episodes. I don’t really know why. Basically I love fairy tales and this should be my thing. I probably thought it was too sweet. But guess what, years later…
What once started as ‘oh nice, a ship that I might like too’ has now grown into an obsession. Ok maybe not quite, but I’ve read so many Supercorp stories, even more than Clexa. And there are so many good stories! And this one is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥! But not only that. This story is the perfect blend of smut, fluff,…
Two SC fics in a row. I must be infatuated 😇. A Supercorp slow burn by Jazzfordshire, is that even possible? Well, yes it is. In fact this is one of the best slow burns I’ve ever read! What’s more, Lena Luthor is a vampire. She’s the perfect character to be a vampire. You can…
Spindrift is the first Anna Burke book I’ve read. By then I had already read 100+ lesfic novels. I didn’t know Anna Burke yet, but review sites were very enthusiastic about her, so I thought let’s try it. I always have to get used to a new voice when I read an author I don’t know yet. But with…
Oh, this one is so good. It’s been years since I’ve read this story, but I still remember it like it was yesterday. This XWP story of LN James is not just 🔥🔥🔥 the characterization of Xena and Gabrielle is so well described too! God, it’s like watching an episode of XWP but then one you’ve always actually…
I must admit that I really liked A Perfect Ending, another Nicole Conn movie. It was a very moving story and Barbara Niven was excellent. The artsy fartsy bits with Paris (and her weird slow voice) were less moving for me, but her backstory was. A rarely seen premise of this unlikely love story between…
I put the tag ‘enemies to lovers’ on this one. But it is not really. It’s more like a ‘dislike to like’ thing 😏. But this works so well in Red Tide at Heron Bay. This one is another Gerri Hill win for me. Lauren Voss lives a quit life in Rockport. She runs her…
Another marvelous novel! I am in awe. How come I didn’t know about Sylvia Brownrigg and her beautiful novel Pages for You? It doesn’t matter, I found it, read it, loved it.
Yes! Another new Gerri Hill has been released 🎉! I had been waiting for it for a while. On July 14, the time had come. Timber Falls was released to the world 😊. And oh, how I always enjoy her books. Sometimes they make me also a bit sad, because now I want to move to Timber Falls…
As with The Cottage, this book by Gerri Hill made me cry again. And I really never cry when reading a book. Well, almost never then. Somehow Gerri Hill manages to strike that particular chord with me. At least After the Summer Rain did. Erin Ryder is a workaholic and after she gets dumped by her girlfriend, her work ethic increases…
I had bought Fragmented by Eliza Lentzski a while ago and I have finally been able to read it. And what a good book again from Eliza! One of the main characters is disabled and has to use a wheelchair. You don’t see that often in a novel and I actually found it very refreshing in a way….
The only Dutch title I’ve read so far ❤️. Weg van Mel vertelt over Annelies die verliefd is geworden op Mel, een van de moeders die ze heeft ontmoet op het schoolplein.
Of course, I am not superficial at all. But I have to admit that this book caught my eye because of the beautiful woman on the cover! And I just waited for her to turn around. So much for the somewhat superficiality. Beautiful Dreamer is one of the first lesfic novels I bought when I started reading seriously again. I…
